Ich habe kürzlich gelesen, dass Aristoteles annahm, dass Erlebnisse durch erfundene Geschichten unsere Gefühle entlasten. Er nannte diesen Vorgang „Katharsis“ und sagte, dass wir dadurch das Leben besser meistern können.
Ich mag das glauben. Es nimmt das Drama, den Druck aus dem Leben. Es nimmt das Übertriebene, das „zur-Obsession-Führende“ heraus.
Klar, muss man seine Balance finden. Sich nicht zu tief in dem Erfundenen verlieren.
Aber ebenso sollte man doch Gebrauch dessen machen. Ich für meinen Teil, hatte in letzter Zeit zu viel Drama im Realen und gleichzeitig weniger Aufmerksamkeit für das Erfundene. Klar wäre das Drama so oder so da gewesen – aber mein Kopf hätte es bei einem anderen Gleichgewicht bestimmt nicht so hochgespielt. Zufall, Zusammenhang, Beweis?
Aber das muss doch auch ein Grund sein, dass es Literatur, Kunst und Theater überhaupt gibt – und nicht alle nur die Erschaffer sind, die sich selbst verwirklichen wollen – sondern es auch die Leute gibt, die gerne in den Welten versinken. Um das eigene Leben entspannter angehen lassen zu können.
